TEEN TITLE RIP

Page Six Photo

October 11, 2008 --

THE economic ax fell on Hearst teen glossy CosmoGirl yesterday. Editor in chief Susan Schulz got the news just before 11 a.m. and shared it with heavy-hearted staffers, who will get paid through Oct. 24. A Hearst spokesperson told Page Six, "Effective with the December issue, CosmoGirl will cease as a print magazine, remaining online only at cosmogirl.com." Shulz "will be staying on at Hearst to work on special projects."
