METS SELL OUT LUXURY SUITES

The Mets have sold out all luxury suites in their new home, despite recent economic turmoil that's battered Wall Street with grand-slam losses, a team official said yesterday.

The Amazin's move to Citi Field next spring and will be playing in front of 49 luxury boxes, filled with high rollers for each of the team's 81 home dates, according to VP David Howard.

There were 39 Empire Suites that went for $275,000 a pop and 10 Sterling Suites that fetched $500,000 each.

"We closed several deals in the last month" despite the Wall Street meltdown, said Howard. "Timing is an important factor in a lot of business."
