WORK it, girl!

With the building boom in New York City, it seems like there's new construction going up on every block.

And every city girl knows what that means - catcalls, ogling and cute construction workers hollering some very choice phrases everywhere you go.

We decided to turn the tables and check out the boys.

Turns out, some tooltastic togs just might be what you need as the temperature continues to rise. Think foundation pieces in bold colors with lots of plaid, short shorts and some boy's tanks and tees.

In the spirit of building and rebuilding, we took to the top of 7 World Trade Center, the 52-story building that is bordered by Greenwich, Vesey, Washington and Barclay streets. The original building collapsed at 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2001 - but a new one was constucted, and it reopened for business in September 2006.

We even hoisted our Brazilian bombshell on the top of Sergio Furnari's "Lunchtime on Top of the Skyscraper" sculpture for a little R&R with the bronze men. (You can catch Furnari driving his truck in SoHo or Long Island City most weekends. If you're nice, he'll even let you snap a quick photo.)

And please note: While wearing a hard hat and tool belt seems like a good idea, it's not. Ever. Unless you are building things.
