About Bay Ridge

A lot of people forget about Bay Ridge (maybe because it's all the way over by the Brooklyn end of the Verrazano Bridge). However, this still working-class nabe has a lot to offer.

The varied housing stock includes multi-family detached and attached brick homes as well as single-family brick, limestone and stucco homes. Many of these properties are in pristine condition and have views of the bridge. Shore Road, or the "Gold Coast" of Brooklyn, looks a lot like Riverside Drive. The properties are also very well cared for.

Bay Ridge is considered a NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) because 43 percent of the population has a head of household over 60 years old, which adds to the calm of the neighborhood.

The area also offers everything from Irish pubs to a Century 21 department store.
