PrintA press conference turned ugly at a Thursday night gala hosted by the Washington Hebrew Congregation when a reporter tried asking Sean Penn about his recent statement that he hopes his critics "die screaming of rectal cancer." The Washington Examiner's Tara Palmeri was accosted by the event's flack, C.J. Jordan, who threatened to have cops escort her out. "She accused me of 'desecrating the place,' " Palmeri told us. "She also told me I had to write a formal apology to the Haitian ambassador." (Penn was being honored for his charity work in Haiti.) A rabbi tried to confiscate Palmeri's camera, but she was able to post a video of her confrontation with Penn on YouTube. "It was a fair question, so it was embarrassing to have to be asked by police to leave," says Palmeri, who left on her own account. Jordan says, "The question was inappropriate. It's a shame she felt the need to ask it at such a lovely event."

He is just another example of a hate filled left wing nazi. Freedom of speech is okay until somebody disagrees with him. I don't understand - if he hates what this country stands for, why doesn't he just leave?

Hope you, Sean Penn, die of rectal cancer which my kind, sweet, wonderful husband died of 10 years ago. Unless someone killed your children, those words should never be uttered to anyone.

I hope he gets shot and killed in one of those 3rd world dictator countries he so on love with. I hope he gets cancer and has a long painful death, I will be having a good laugh at him
