Anger as 'GMA' books Brown

ABC has booked Rihanna-beater Chris Brown for an interview and a performance on "Good Morning America" -- right after the network canceled guy-kisser Adam Lambert.

Brown will do a taped tell-all with Robin Roberts, followed by a performance of songs from his new album. But TV insiders say the appearance, slated to air the week after next, has outraged feminists and gay activists who wonder why a convicted girlfriend abuser is more palatable to the network than an openly gay man who broke no laws with his raunchy performance on the "American Music Awards."

An ABC source said, "The network is giving a mixed message -- that it doesn't trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault."

ABC News has insisted that Lambert's sexual orientation did not play a role in its decision to pull the plug on his "GMA" appearance this week.

ABC insiders said they ruled the "American Idol" star's sexed-up shenanigans on Sunday's awards show -- which included him groping a female dancer, kissing a male musician and shoving a male dancer's face into his crotch -- were inappropriate for morning TV. One said, "He was not canceled over a gay kiss. He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV."

Brown, who taped his interview with Roberts last weekend, was sentenced in August to six months' labor and five years' probation after he pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in February. "GMA" hopes his appearance could provide a ratings boost, just like Rihanna's "GMA" interview earlier this month where she told Diane Sawyer she saw "no soul in his eyes" as he beat her.

The top ABC insider added: "Chris Brown's interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna's interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week."

ABC's moral compass is broken. Chris Brown and Adam Lambert are both the scum of the earth. You mean to tell me they can't find anyone better than these two puddles of vomit?

Neither one of these idiots should be on television. Chris Brown has an anger problem, and it wasn't helped by Rhianna's stupid behavior afterward by going back to him. Adam Lambert is a debauched individual who has no business being on prime time television where kids can see his lascivious actions. They both have had their 15 minutes of fame and need to go away.

Seeing the battered and bruised photos of what Chris Brown did to Rhianna are far more offensive than what Adam Lambert did on the AMA's. Adam was acting out to a song, racy yes but not real life, it was a show. Chris Brown acted out in violence against a woman he supposedly loved and beat her to within an inch of her life. ABC and GMA find Chris an acceptable guest and Adam unacceptable? That is shameful and sick! They owe Adam a public apology and they need to cancel the woman beating Brown.

Since when did such an "act" become acceptable or excusable in the U.S.? If he's going to be gay that's his choice, but to put on such a display is shameful. If you're an "American Idol", that's a title you hold to represent. That garbage doesn't represent me. Not excusing Chris' behavior. He was all the way wrong. He messed up hugely. His standard should be higher as well. Overall, Adam DID show unpredictability while Chris is TRYING to go in the right direction. While we are obviously no longer a Christian nation, the Lord teaches us to forgive. Both of them have work to do.

What Adam did was a performance, he didn't really have oral sex on stage. Doesn't matter if you thought it was disgusting or not, it was an act. What Chris Brown did was REAL, he beat the hell out of woman he "loved" in anger. Do not put that piece of low life filth on your show after canceling Adam, whose only crime was getting carried away and going too far in his performance.

Adam is "unpredictable on live tv"?? Right..and American Idol wasn't live tv, so he has no experience whatsoever, of course. Not to mention the performance he did on GMA in August, where he sang "Starlight". Could they have come up with any lamer excuse??? The more they say about it, the worse it becomes. First they censor him, then they cancel him and now they insult him by suggesting he doesn't know the difference between 11 pm and 8 am. Way to go, ABC. And woman bashers are sooo much better for public morals, aren't they..
